Lake Carroll, on maps since the 1870s and the reason the neighborhood exists, anchors the mosquito picture. Homes on or near the lake get the shoreline pressure, while Carrollwood Village’s golf course ponds spread a second tier of breeding habitat through the Village’s sections. Original Carrollwood and Carrollwood Village both maintain the kind of civic pride (deed restrictions, active associations, a community that won national awards the decade it was built) that shapes how service should run. It’s a small adjustment that reflects a simple rule: treat the property you actually have, not the average one.

The rhythm here follows the housing stock. First visits on older homes go deeper — roach access at the drain level, attic and garage inspection, the accumulated entry points of six decades — because fixing access beats treating symptoms.
